Greve.<br /> Student I Aalborg 1938, cand. jur 1944, landsretssagfører 1949, højesteretssagfører 1958, offentlige og beneficerede sager 1959.<br /> <br /> Maleren og højesteretssagfører Jørn Stæhr, som voksede op i Aalborg. Allerede som 13 årig havde han udviklet talent for at male. Forældrene havde på den tid bygget sommerhus i Blokhus, og her fandt han masser af motiver til sit arbejde. Endvidere fandt han inspiration via gentagne besøg hos Aksel P. Jensen, hvis atelier lå i nærheden af Stæhrhuset. En inspiration, der er synlig i hans stil. Motiverne er derfor fra ”blokhusområdet”, med motiver fra både Hune, Pirupshvarre, Blokhus <br /> og Blokhus Strand.<br /> <br /> Pengene til jurastudierne kom bl.a. fra malerier af gårdene på egnen, som han solgte til gårdejerne.<br /> Han døde ikke som fattig ukendt landskabsmaler, men som højst anerkendt landsretssagfører i København.<br /> <br /> Han er sammen med hustruen Emilie Sophia Ketty Adelheid Bang Stæhr<br /> begravet på Sorgenfri Kirkegård.</div>
